Joshua Chandra, Pianist

Age: 18
Born: Riverside, CA
Current: Riverside, CA

Joshua Chandra’s aspirations of glorifying God as a concert pianist have been steadily unraveling as a multiple prize winner and honoree at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition in November, 2006 and November, 2008, as well as through first-place achievements in several local and regional competitions since the age of 8.

Having been with the piano since age 4 and in the studio of Marie Estudillo since the age of 6, he entered the piano studio of Professor Eduardo Delgado of Cal State Fullerton in 2003 at age 13. Continuing with Mr. Delgado, Joshua went on in September 2007 to perform with the Capella Amadeus String Chamber Orchestra of the Amadeus School of Music in Jakarta, Indonesia, in the concert Simply Bach, and began attending Cal State Fullerton the following year. In 2008, he was recognized by the City of Riverside, featured in the Press-Enterprise, as one of Riverside’s Top 25 Most Remarkable Teens for Instrumental Music. Joshua will perform in the Young Artists Concert sponsored by the Redlands Bowl on June 30, 2009, and is currently in demand as an accompanist and performer throughout Southern California.
