  1. All prizes will be awarded at the end of the Final Rounds and all prize money will be received within 30 days.



  2. All decisions of the jury will be final and are not subject to question, review or appeal.



  3. Candidates may not speak with any member of the jury during their active participation in the competition.



  4. The order of appearance of candidates at each round will be determined by a drawing at Orientation on Sunday, June 14, 2009 that will be attended by all candidates. The playing order will be adhered to throughout all rounds of the competition.



  5. In case of illness or accident, a candidate may be assigned a new time during the specific round then in progress.



  6. All candidates must be ready and willing to perform earlier than the originally assigned time should there be any cancellations.



  7. Prizes are subject to current US income tax laws.



  8. All works must be performed in their entirety and from memory. Repertoire may not be altered after April 15th.



  9. The programs of the pianists must comply with the allotted time for each round.



  10. Each candidate will receive a CD recording of his/her performance after each round.



  11. All rounds of the competition are open to the public.



  12. The Dress Code for the competition requires dresses for the ladies and suits for the men in the Preliminary and Semi-Final Rounds.
    Formal attire of gowns for the ladies and tuxedos or tails for the men is required in the Final Round.



  13. Participation in the Competition constitutes a waiver of all claims and fees for the broadcast of performances on radio or television, either live or on tape.



  14. The Competition may record and videotape all rounds and may use these materials at any time without payment of fees or royalties to the performer.
